At the heart of Malton
We took over The Mount in June 2017 and started with a complete refurbishment of the bar and restaurant areas, as well as the installation of a brand new commercial kitchen.
In Spring of 2018 we made a start on re-decorating the bedrooms, an ongoing project alongside re-decoration of the the reception and hotel corridors. It’s a bit like the Forth Bridge, there’s always a job to be done!
We are really enjoying being back in the heart of Malton and seeing our ‘old’ customers from Will’s Bar from over 10years ago, and of course welcoming lots of lovely new ones too.
We are situated in a fabulous location, being just minutes away from Malton’s pretty Market Place with a great variety of bars, cafes and individual shops. Just 10minutes in a car will get you to Castle Howard, Eden Camp and Flamingo Land, with the beautiful Yorkshire Coast, North York Moors National Park and the City of York just half an hour's drive away.
The building itself dates back to 1870 when it was St Michael's School. When the school moved to to other premises it then became The Mount Hotel.Our aims are quite simple: come and relax and unwind whether you’re dining with us, having a party, staying in the hotel or just popping in for drinks.

We have 13 en-suite bedrooms, all with flat screen tv’s, free wifi and tea and coffee making facilities. Rooms are serviced daily by our housekeeping team. A full English breakfast is included and will certainly set you up for the day. We have double rooms, family and single rooms with prices from £70.
